Prayer to Saint Stephen

O glorious Saint Stephen, first martyr of the Church, who suffered death by stoning while praying for your persecutors, obtain for us the grace to pray for our enemies and to forgive those who have wronged us. Help us to see Christ in all people and to witness to our faith with courage and love. May your example of forgiveness inspire us to follow Christ faithfully, even when the cost is great. Saint Stephen, first witness of Christ's resurrection, pray for us that we may be worthy of the promises of Christ. Amen.
