"I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me."
— Philippians 4:13
O glorious Saint Jerome, you who dedicated your entire existence to the meditation and understanding of the Word of God, we address our humble prayer to you. You, who with tireless dedication translated the Holy Scriptures, making them accessible to the people of God, enkindle in us the same love for the Bible, so that it may not be a sealed book for us, but a living spring of grace, wisdom, and consolation. Illustrious Doctor of the Church, we pray you, enlighten our minds. Grant us the ability to approach the Sacred Text with humility and reverence, seeking not the vainglory of knowledge, but the Truth that saves. In a world often confused by fleeting doctrines, guide us to remain firm in the teaching of the Church. Hermit in the desert and penitent, teach us the value of silence and recollection to hear the voice of God. O Saint Jerome, our patron and protector, grant that, nourished by the Word of God and strengthened by the Sacraments, we may one day reach our heavenly homeland, to contemplate for eternity that Word whom you so loved and proclaimed on earth. Amen.
"I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me."
